What does it mean to "connect your hotel to PUI"?
PUI (the Single Identity Platform) comes from the General Law on Enforced Disappearance (LGMDFP). Its Art. 12 Bis requires every lodging in Mexico to register guest identity and make it available to the authority when it searches for a person reported missing. It is operated by SEGOB and RENAPO together with the National Search Commission, with technical support from the ATDT.
Connecting is not uploading a spreadsheet or sending an email. It is interconnecting your hotel with a federal system that demands strict security: an encrypted query URL, JWT authentication, TLS transport and AES-256-GCM data encryption. For most hotels, building and maintaining all of that is complex, expensive and slow.
