PUI Law for individually-run lodging: the same obligation
If you run your lodging as an individual (persona física), the Single Identity Platform applies to you exactly like a company. PUIhoteles connects you with your personal e.firma and LlaveMX, captures identity and answers for you.
Individual or company: for the PUI Law it’s the same
Article 12 Bis of the LGMDFP is explicit: the obligation to register guest identity applies to every lodging establishment, whether you’re an individual or a company. There’s no lighter regime for operating under your own name. If you rent rooms and charge for it, you’re required, and the Article 43 Bis fine ($1.17 to $2.35 million per infraction) reaches you too.
The practical difference is in the paperwork: as an individual, you connect to the federal platform with your personal RFC and e.firma, and your LlaveMX profile is set up in your name. PUIhoteles guides you along exactly that path, so your lodging gets registered and compliant without you having to decode the government portal.
